The Cheapa 4WD Camper is perfect for off road adventurers on a budget. The campervan comes with all of the conveniences of a 4WD campervan but at a cheapa price. The 4WD Camper features kitchen facilities Including a gas stove, fridge and sink, and once you’ve cooked, you can enjoy your meal in the great outdoors underneath the large side awning. The vehicle also comes with a roomy double bed and a handy outdoor solar shower. Far roomier than similar vehicles, this 4WD campervan is ideal for thrill seeking couples who are keen to explore the road less travelled.
Please note: If travelling in a 4WD vehicle please carefully read our special advice for 4WD customers for roads that require permission from Cheapa Campa prior to travel and roads that are strictly prohibited. This vehicle is unsuitable for beach driving. Children under the age of 8 years old cannot travel in this vehicle.

*Solar power panels provide a trickle charge to the 12V house battery power supply only; much like the engine battery does when driving. The solar panels will not charge over and above the current draw on the battery, nor will they fully charge it.

Standard rate Included: To make things as comfortable as possible for our guests, our rates include: 24hr Roadside Assistance 300 kilometers per day - any excess kilometres will be charged at $0.40 per kilometre payable on return. Kitchen Kit General Equipment Personal kit Kitchen Kit: plates, bowls, knives, forks, spoons, bottle opener, can opener, mixing bowls, colander, saucepans, frying pans, and cooking utensils, chopping board, kettle, teapot, toaster and tea towel. Electrical appliances are supplied in vehicles that have 240V. General Equipment: pegs, clothes line, fire extinguisher, bucket, hose, broom, dustpan and brush. 4WD RVs also include a Personal Locator Beacon. Personal Kit: complimentary bedding (including sheets, blankets, pillows, pillow cases and towels).

FAQS
Do I need a special driver's licence?
A current and full motor vehicle driver's licence is required. If the driver's licence is not in the English language then an international driver's licence is also recommended. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.
The driver's licence must have been held for at least two years and be valid for the whole length of the rental. The original driver's licence must be shown at the time of pick-up when the driver is present.
How old do I need to be to drive a Cheapa Campa vehicle?
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over.
Are there any discounts available for long hires or combination rentals?
Cheapa Campa offers discounts for long term motorhome and campervan rentals, starting from 21 days. Cheapa Campa also offers discounts on multiple Cheapa Campa motorhome vehicle hires from any of our branches worldwide.
What is supplied with Cheapa Campa campervans and motorhomes?
Cheapa Campa supplies a complimentary Welcome Pack for your first night. The pack contains matches, dishwashing liquid, sponge, salt and pepper, coffee, tea and sugar sachets. Vehicles are also provided with complimentary maps, camp ground guides and the Apollo Motorhome Holidays Magazine.
We strongly recommend you bring soft bags instead of suitcases for your luggage. Soft bags take up less room and fit more easily into the storage cupboards and lockers in the vehicle.
Can I access the internet while travelling?
Wi-Fi Routers are available for hire with each vehicle rental. These devices provide mobile internet access and in most locations throughout Australia for up to five devices, so everyone traveling can stay connected whilst enjoying your holiday. Prices are generally much cheaper than international roaming charges. For exact prices and availability, please call our friendly reservations team or ask when checking in at the branch.
What is the minimum rental duration?
The minimum rental period for all campervans and motorhomes is 7 days. Increased minimum rental periods apply at peak times. Shorter rentals are available at special rates.
Do you have roadside assistance should I have a breakdown or accident?
Cheapa Campa provides 24 hour roadside assistance for your peace of mind. Please call Cheapa Campa's toll free number at any time and speak to the fleet department in the unlikely event of a breakdown or accident.
Where can I stay at night?
Cheapa Campa recommends staying at designated camp grounds where you can enjoy the facilities and feel secure in a like-minded camping community. Cheapa Campa customers enjoy discounts with many of the major camping parks. Simply ask a friendly Cheapa Campa staff member for more information.
What bond do I have to leave?
All Cheapa Campa hires require a bond at the point of vehicle pick up. The base bond payment is $5000 which can be reduced to as little as $250 depending on the Liability Reduction Option that the customer selects. Please ask a friendly member of staff for more information on the Liability Reduction Options prior to your hire.
How long does it take to pick up the vehicle?
Vehicle pick up times can vary but allow for at least an hour to complete the whole procedure. This is an important time for you to become familiar with the vehicle and includes the check-in, a vehicle inspection report and a vehicle show through to demonstrate the features of the vehicle and how to get the most out of your self-drive holiday.
What do I need to do before I book a relocation?
Before contacting our reservations team to book your motorhome relocation special, please ensure you complete the following steps for a quick and easy booking process:
Have your credit card ready to pay the deposit
Familiarise yourself with the relocation Terms and Conditions
Confirm that you have held an open licence for 2 years, and are over 21 years of age
Please also remember that you will need to pay a bond on vehicle pick-up, so you must have sufficient funds on your credit card.

The popularity of our relocation offers mean it would be very difficult for us to maintain an up to date relocation waiting list. Our rental vehicle relocation page is updated daily, so the best way to track available relocation specials is by bookmarking this page and visiting it on a regular basis.
Can I request a specific relocation?
Cheapa Campa relocation specials are made available as a result of Cheapa Campa's rental requirements. Therefore, we cannot offer any special not posted on our relocation page.
How many days can I have the vehicle at the special relocation rate?
Cheapa Campa offers a certain number of days and free kilometres at the heavily discounted relocation rate. The number of days and kilometres are determined by the route you are travelling. Subject to availability, you may be able to hire the vehicle for additional days at a higher rate. Extra kilometres driven are charged at a low per km rate on vehicle return. Do you provide Airport transfers?
Cheapa Campa does not provide Airport transfers for relocation offers, so please make sure you have made transport arrangements to and from the airport. Most airports provide a taxi rank where you can access cabs to take you to our rental office.
