> unlimited kilometres 2WD vehicles (300 kilometres per day for 4WD campervans)

> linen and bedding

> kitchen equipment

> general equipment - see our website for details of equipment provided.

> In-Vehicle tablet includes GPS, travel and campervan operation tips and more.

All campervans are insured for damage to the vehicle itself or to the property of a Third Party.

See Vehicle Liability page for details.

What is the minimal rental period?

Minimum and maximum rental periods apply and are subject to change

Do we pay Goods & Services Tax?

Goods and Services tax (GST) is included in the daily gross rental rate of your vehicle hire.

How are the rental (hire) days charged?

Campervan rates (rental days) are calculated on a calendar day basis.

The first and last day of your rental, irrespective of the times of collection and return, are calculated as rental days.

Will I get a refund if I return a day early or pick up late?

There is no refund available for late pick-up or early return of the vehicle.

Are unlimited kilometres included in my Australian rental?

Unlimited kilometres are included in 2WD vehicle rentals.

If you are hiring a Britz 4WD the kilometre allowance is 300 kilometres per day, thereafter a charge of 50 cents per kilometre will apply.

If I pick up at 11am and drop off the next day at the same time, why is it showing as two days?

Rental days are calculated on a calendar day basis. When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one of the rental. The day of the vehicle’s return is counted as the final day of the rental.

Fees & Charges:-

What are the location/one-way fees for my Australian rental?

A location fee of AU$30 applies to all campervans picked up or dropped off in Hobart (for same city collection and return only one fee applies)

A location fee of AU$750 applies to all campervans picked up or dropped off in Broome (for same city collection and return only one fee applies)

A One-Way fee of AU$250 applies where the hire originates or returns to or from Darwin, Broome, Alice Springs or Perth.

One-Way fees are additional to any other fees that may apply.

What is the Credit Card Authority?

A credit card authority is taken to allow for the recovery of any amounts due by the customer during or upon conclusion of their campervan rental.

These charges include but are not limited to:

> vehicle cleaning (this includes toilet and waste water tank emptying, deep clean if an animal or smoking has been permitted in the campervan)

> traffic infringements [eg speeding, parking], tolls or freedom camping fines

> On Road charges relating to towing, delivery and return of vehicle

> late return fees

> refuelling with diesel or petrol, or refilling LPG

> rental extensions

> road restriction penalties

Please note that pre-paid fuel [PPF] and pre-paid LPG [PGO] is included in the Express Return Pack.

For security purposes, only the customer's credit card can be used for the Credit Card Authority.

Is the Liability Deposit refundable and how quickly is it refunded?

The Liability Deposit is refundable provided the vehicle is returned undamaged.

Please allow between 5 – 10 working days for the funds to appear in your account.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept credit cards/debit cards from Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Please note, a surcharge of 2% will apply to all Visa and MasterCard credit card/debit card transactions.

A 4.6% fee is applicable to American Express credit cards.

For security purposes, only a credit card can be used to provide a Liability Deposit.

Why is a cleaning fee charged ?

There are no fees if the campervan is returned in a clean condition.

We reserve the right to charge the customer a $250 cleaning fee if the campervan is not returned in a clean condition. This includes smoking-related cleaning, as smoking is not permitted in the campervan and a deep-clean if animals have been permitted in the campervan.

Discounts:-

Do multiple campervan rentals qualify for discount, including if bookings are in two countries?

Yes, discounts apply. Should you have more than one consecutive rental, the bookings can be combined to qualify for longer-term hire discounts off the vehicle rate. Consecutive campervan hire in South Africa for Britz and maui; Australia and New Zealand for Britz, maui and Mighty can be combined to qualify if travel is within a 3-month period.

Do you offer long hire discounts?

Long hire discounts may apply, contact us for further details.

Do you offer senior citizen discounts on maui motorhome bookings?

We offer NZ SuperGold Card holders 10% off our regular daily rates for travel in New Zealand, this discount cannot be combined with other discounts. The SuperGold Card is a free discount and concession card available to New Zealand residents who are aged 65 years or over, and those under 65 years receiving New Zealand Superannuation or the Veteran's Pension.

Offer is also valid for holders of the Australian ‘Pensioner Card’. Please quote your membership number at the time of booking and present the card upon pick of your campervan.

Liability and Liability Reduction Option:-

What is Vehicle liability?

Vehicle liability is the maximum dollar amount (cost) per accident that the hirer is responsible for, should there be an accident. This includes damage to the rental vehicle and any third party property.

Please note that the maximum amount will be void if the terms of our Rental Agreement are breached and the breach is the cause of or contributes to the relevant damage.

What is the Liability Deposit?

If the Liability Reduction Option is not taken, the Liability Deposit is required upon the collection of your vehicle. Customers must provide a valid credit card to pay the Liability Deposit and the amount will be debited to the customer's credit card on the day of vehicle collection.  The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the Liability Deposit upon vehicle collection.

The Liability Deposit is subject to a 2% credit card administration fee in addition to the Liability Deposit amount when the credit card used is either a Visa or MasterCard, or 4.6% when the credit card used is American Express.

Is the Liability Deposit refundable?

The Liability Deposit is fully refundable, including the credit card surcharge, if the card used to provide the Liability Deposit is a Visa or MasterCard credit card, provided the Vehicle is returned without Damage. We recommend that you use a Visa or MasterCard credit card for the Liability Deposit, as the credit card surcharge that applies when using American Express is not refundable.  The Liability Deposit is refundable provided the Vehicle is returned on time, to the correct location, undamaged, in a clean condition and with full fuel tanks (fuel being petrol or diesel) and gas bottle.

What is the Liability Reduction Option?

By purchasing the Liability Reduction Option you will reduce your liability to $0 (with the exception of the 4WD products).

Please note that the Liability Reduction Option will be void if the terms of our Rental Agreement are breached and the breach is the cause of or contributes to the relevant damage.

What is the credit card administration fee in Australia?

All Liability Deposits (plus any other credit card transactions) are subject to a 2% credit card administration fee for Visa and Mastercard and 4.6% for American Express in addition to the Liability Deposit amount. This surcharge is refunded when the Liability Deposit is refunded for Visa and Mastercard holders.  For American Express the 4.6% is not refunded when the Liability Deposit is refunded.

Don’t forget to check that your credit card has the funds available and that the amount does not exceed your daily withdrawal allowance.

* Please note the American Express fee will increase to 5.3% for all bookings from 1 April 2017.

Road User Charges (in New Zealand only)

Are there additional fees for extra drivers?

An additional driver's fee of $1.00 per day, per driver, per hire will apply. (Max charge $30)

Arrival and Departure:-

Preparing for Arrival:

Does every driver have to be there on pick up of the campervan?

Yes. Each driver needs to present their full, valid driver’s licence upon collection of the campervan (photo copies are not accepted) and all drivers are required to sign the rental agreement.

What time should we arrive to collect our campervan?

Your campervan can only be collected within the branch operating hours.

When making your booking, ensure that you do select the time slot that best suits your flight arrival, allowing time to collect our luggage and travel to our branch.

What should I expect on arrival?

We recommend that you allow one hour for the collection process. You will need to bring with you, your valid drivers licence and, if this is in another language, an approved English translation will be required.

To save time you can complete the self check-in prior to arrival - this allows you to enter driver details and add on any extra hire items you might need for your holiday.

By providing us with your details in advance our branch staff can process your rental vehicle faster, allowing you to get on the road with a minimal wait time. You will be asked to watch a driver safety video and given an introduction to your campervan by a friendly member of our crew.

If our flight arrives late, can I pick up after hours?

Unfortunately we do not allow customers to collect their campervan outside of branch operating hours. If the delay is unexpected, please contact your collection branch directly for assistance. It is generally advisable to book a hotel for the first night if you arrive after 3 pm.

Can we leave/collect our campervan at the airport or can you deliver it?

Campervans must be collected and returned to the branch confirmed for your booking.

Before you Return:-

When do I need to return my campervan?

It’s really important that you return your campervan at your confirmed branch and drop-off time. Please refer to your rental agreement. If you want to change this time whilst still travelling you will need to get in touch with our Booking Hosts.

Do I have to return my campervan with a full gas bottle and fuel tank?

You must make sure your fuel tank and LPG bottle are full before you return your camper. The fuel gauge must register as full and you must leave a receipt for the LPG bottle in the front seat showing that it has been filled within the last 24 hours. Additional charges will apply if this hasn’t been done. If you have prepaid your fuel [PPF] and LPG [PGO], or purchased the Express return pack, then don’t worry - just bring everything back empty!

Do I have to empty the waste water and toilet?

Yes. Please ensure that your waste water tank and toilet cassette are emptied at an authorised dump point found at most campgrounds prior to returning your campervan.

Can we return our campervan before the branch opens?

Vehicles must be returned to the branch during branch operating hours. We request that customers collecting or returning their vehicle to be at our branch before 3.30pm.

What do we need to do prior to returning our campervan?

Please ensure that rubbish is thrown away, the floor has been swept and that your van does look tidy before you return it. If it’s not returned in a respectable condition we may charge you a NZ$250 cleaning fee.

Please remember that smoking and pets are not permitted in your campervan and that a cleaning fee also applies to any smoking or animal related cleaning.

What do we do with our extra hire items?

Please leave any extra hire items on the front passenger seat of your campervan so that we know you have returned them safe and sound. Chairs and table should be left inside your camper (at the rear of the vehicle).

On the Road:-

Assistance Required:

What do I do if I have an accident in my campervan in Australia?

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident whilst on hire, the following procedures should be followed:

A) AT THE ACCIDENT SCENE THE CUSTOMER MUST:

1. Obtain the names and addresses of any third parties and any witnesses.

2. Report the accident to police, regardless of estimated damage costs.

3. Not accept blame or insist the other party is at fault.

4. If possible, photograph damage to all vehicle(s) and registration number(s).

5. Call 1300 850 805 with the accident’s details within 24 hours. We recommend a local sim to be able to contact us free of charge

B) AT THE BRANCH

1. The Customer must produce their Driver’s Licence and hand over the police report (if applicable) and any supporting photographs.

2. The Customer is required to pay the cost of any Damage to the Vehicle (if applicable, in accordance with clause 22) and any other amount due by them in respect of any Damage arising from an accident, loss, or damage. This amount is payable at the time of reporting ‘the event’ and not at completion of the Rental Period.

3. The Customer will pay the daily rental rate for the period the Vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs.

4. The Local Host will ensure the Motor Vehicle Accident Report is completed clearly and accurately, and signed by the Customer.

C) EXCHANGE VEHICLE

1. The availability of an Exchange Vehicle is not guaranteed; provision is subject to availability, Customer location, accident liability and remaining hire duration. Additional charges may be incurred (see below).

2. If an Exchange Vehicle is required as a result of an accident, the Customer is responsible for making their own way to the nearest maui branch or pick-up location at their own cost.

3. We may offer the Customer the option of paying an “Exchange Vehicle Relocation Fee” to send a driver to deliver the exchange vehicle to the Customer’s location.

4. The Customer will pay for any costs relating to delivery of an exchange Vehicle because of any single Vehicle accident. This charge applies irrespective of the Liability Reduction Option being taken.

5. If an exchange vehicle is provided, any Liability Reduction Option purchased at the commencement of the Rental Period may, at maui’s discretion (including where it considers the exchange vehicle is at risk of damage) be terminated with effect from the date of provision of the exchange vehicle (and the Customer will not be charged the additional per day charge in respect of the Liability Reduction Option from that date). If maui exercises its right to terminate the Liability Reduction Option, a Liability Deposit will be required to be paid by the Customer at the time of provision of the exchange Vehicle. If the Customer did not purchase the Liability Reduction Option at the commencement of the Rental Period and paid a Liability Deposit, the Customer acknowledges that a new Liability Deposit will be required to be paid for the exchange Vehicle.

D) TIME FRAME FOR SETTLEMENT OF CUSTOMER LIABILITY CLAIMS

Where to Stay:-

Do I need to stay a campground/holiday park?

Provided the campervan you have rented has toilet facilities on board you are allowed to 'freedom camp' in designated sites. Please obey local signage and regulations, and ask at the local information centre [look for blue i-SITE signs in each town] for suitable places to stay.

To fully charge your campervan's auxiliary [house] battery you will need to plug the vehicle into 240V mains power regularly.  We recommend you stay in holidays parks to charge the battery at a minimum every second night.

How long can I 'freedom camp' for?

The more equipment you use the quicker you will use the available charge on your house battery. If the weather is hot, try to keep the fridge closed as much as possible. A good tip is to keep the fridge filled, even by using recycled bottles filled with water, and turning the fridge to a lower setting. Parking the vehicle in the shade can also reduce power consumption.  We recommend plugging in and recharging your house battery every second night to maintain the lights, fridge and water pump.

Why do I need to go to a campsite?

Campsites offer facilities to empty your waste water and toilet cassette, and many also offer laundry facilities to refresh your towels and sheets. We recommend that in order to maintain the charge on your campervan's house battery, you connect to 240V mains power every second night.

Do we have to book campgrounds in advance of our arrival?

If you are travelling during peak periods such as school holidays, public holidays and long weekends, it is best to book your campground in advance to avoid disappointment.

Dump Stations:

How often should we dump our waste?

When it comes to the disposing of your waste , it is vital to ensure this is done in a safe and environmentally friendly way. We recommend you dump your black water (contents from the toilet cassette) and the grey water (water from the shower and sink) every 2 or 3 days.

Vehicle information:-

Safety & Driving:

Can you restrict where the campervan can go due to certain conditions?

We value your well being, and for safety purposes, we reserve the right, to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to:

(a) adverse road or weather conditions;

(b) the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period; and

(c) any concerns we, our employees or agents may have regarding driver experience or ability.

We will advise you on pick-up of any travel restrictions known at that time.

Do I need a special driver's licence to drive in Australia?

A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by an accredited English translation. The translation must be provided by an authorised translation service or a diplomatic representative at a high commission, embassy or consulate, or the authority that issued your overseas licence (an International Driving Permit may be acceptable as a translation if in English).

Can a child seat or booster seat be fitted to the vehicle in Australia?

Child seats can be fitted to the forward facing vehicle seat located behind the driver only. A booster seat may be fitted to the front passengers seat or any seats located behind the driver. We strongly recommend any child restraints are pre-booked.

The type of restraint required for your child depends on their age as follows:

Children aged under six months (up to 9kgs) must wear an approved, properly fastened and adjusted, rear facing child restraint. Children in this category cannot be seated in the front of our vehicles.

Children aged between six months and under four years (8 – 18kgs) must wear an approved, properly fastened and adjusted, rear facing child restraint OR a forward facing child restraint with an in-built harness. Children in this category cannot be seated in the front of our vehicles.

Children aged between four years and under seven (14 – 26kgs) must wear an approved, properly fastened and adjusted, forward facing child restraint with an in-built harness OR an approved booster seat which is properly positioned and fastened. Whilst it is legal (under certain circumstances) for a child in this category to sit in the front seat, we do not recommend any child under 26kgs or under seven years travels in the front seat.

All child restraints must comply with current Australian Standards and it is the responsibility of customers to fit them in the vehicle. We strongly recommend any child restraints are pre-booked.

WHERE YOUR CHILD CAN SIT

Front seats in vehicles are not fitted with anchor points and cannot accommodate children under four years in any case.

If all appropriate rear seats are being used by children under seven years, children aged between four and six years (inclusive) may travel in the front seat, provided they use an approved booster seat.

PLEASE NOTE

Our vehicles are not fitted with child safety barriers for top bunk / overhead beds. We recommend children sleep in the lower dinette-converted beds.

Can we bring our own child seat or booster seat when we hire a campervan in Australia?

Yes, however by law the child or booster seat must be an Australian/New Zealand standard restraint.

No other child restraints are acceptable for use in Australia.

Are there restrictions on where we can drive a 2WD campervan in Australia?

2WD Campervans can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads.

The only exception to this are well-maintained access roads of less than 12 kilometres to recognised campgrounds and well-maintained, recognised roads on Kangaroo Island (South Australia).  Should you wish to travel on an unsealed road that is greater than 12 kilometres in length to access a recognised campground special permission can be arranged pending road condition, weather and distance. Please contact your booking host to discuss.

Any 2WD vehicles found travelling on these roads will automatically void any liability option and will be liable for all costs incurred repairing the vehicle.

We reserve the right at sole discretion to restrict movement in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.

Where do babies/infants sleep in the campervan?

Unfortunately most portable cots do not fit in our vehicles. We do recommend that only older children sleep in the top (Luton) bed as the luggage net is not a safety feature.

How old do I need to be to drive and is there a maximum age?

Drivers must be 21 years of age or over. There is no maximum age as long as you have a valid driver's licence.

Can I fit a portable cot in the camper?

Most portable cots do not fit in our vehicle

Are there restrictions on where we can drive a 4WD campervan in Australia?

We greatly value your safety and patronage. For this reason we want to ensure all customers renting a 4WD from Britz are fully aware of key safety considerations.

Be aware of changing road conditions and road closures

Stay on the tracks and report remote travel plans to an official or the nearest police station

EPIRB should be carried with you when leaving the vehicle

It’s advisable to carry 3–4lt of drinking water per person per day

Carrying a satellite phone is strongly advised

Irresponsible and/or careless use of 4WD vehicles can result in serious injury or death. Please exercise due caution while driving your Britz 4WD.

While your safety is our main concern, we must also look after our vehicles to ensure that we can service future customer bookings. While our vehicles are purpose built, they will not withstand abuse, negligent treatment or reckless driving, and you should note that breaching the conditions agreed to in your rental contract may not only endanger you and your passengers, but also put you at significant financial risk and responsibility.

We specifically remind you of your responsibilities under clause 25 of your Britz Rental Agreement, this clause informs you when (irrespective of liability option taken) you will NOT be covered.

We are confident that our customers who exercise caution and prudence while hiring our 4WD vehicles will have a safe and carefree journey into the best of the Australian outback. We enforce these rules for your safety and to ensure the availability of our vehicles for future customers.

How much tread depth should vehicle tyres have in Australia?

Vehicles under 4.5 tonne gross vehicle mass are legally required to have at least 1.5mm of tread remaining in all the principal grooves (i.e. the wide main grooves in the centre part of the tread).

These grooves have tread wear indicators in them and the tyre should not be worn so much that the tread wear indicators contact the road.

Our minimum allowed tread depth is 3.0mm, double the legal Australian limit.

Other countries have very similar minimum tread depth requirements. 1.5mm or 1.6mm is well accepted globally as the minimum allowable tread depth for passenger and van tyres.

Are there speed restrictions on my campervan?

For your safety the speed limit on the 2/3 berth campervans are 100km/h and 90km/h for the 4/6 berth campervans.

About your campervan:-

Will my campervan come with a hair dryer?

No, we don’t provide personal equipment like hair dryers or shavers.

Will my campervan have an iron and ironing board?

No, we do not provide irons or ironing boards. However you will find most campgrounds do have laundry facilities.

Will my campervan have a tow-bar?

No, our campervans are not equipped with tow-bars.

Will my campervan have a power socket?

Yes, your campervan has an external power socket to connect to 240v power. Because it has a larger earth pin, you will not be able to plug into a domestic power outlet.

There are 240v power sockets inside your campervan too. Please note that these will only operate when you have plugged into an external power source.

Will my campervan be suitable for disabled passengers?

Unfortunately no, there is no access for wheel chairs and there is limited space inside.

Can we rent a generator or bring our own?

No, as we do not allow generators to be used with our vehicles.

Will my campervan come supplied with tea and coffee?

We do not provide any food or drink with your campervan.

Do I need to bring my own bedding?

There is no need to bring your own bed linen.

We supply sheets, pillows with pillow cases, duvet and duvet cover for each bed. Additional bedding can be collected and additional duvet and cover may be added to your extra hire items at a nominal cost.

Can we bring our pet with us on holiday?

Animals are not permitted in our campervans, with the exception of registered guide dogs, and permission needs to be arranged prior to rental.

If an animal is allowed in your campervan additional fees may be applied to deep clean the interior.

Will my Australian campervan have air-conditioning in the living area?

Yes, the larger vehicles with toilet and shower also include air-conditioning in the living area. This requires connection to 240v power to operate.

How long will the gas bottle last?

Gas bottle sizes and gas operated equipment differs with different campervans.

Campervans with gas operated cooking, heating and water systems will use gas quicker than campervans with only gas cooking.

If you run out of gas, you can swap a bottle at many service stations, The Warehouse, Mitre 10 and other outlets.

If you have Pre Purchased Gas then you need not return your campervan with a full gas bottle.

How many towels are included in the campervan?

We provide 1 x towel per person. These towels are bath towels, and a shower mat is also included for the toilet/ shower vehicles.

All vehicles come with a tea towel as part of the kitchen general living equipment.

There are seven of us but one is a baby, can we book a 6 berth?

No, there are only 6 seat belts available in a six berth. Each person in the vehicle needs to have their own seatbelt, children need to be restrained in an approved child or booster seat.

Can we plug the camper into a normal house power outlet?

Government regulations do not allow for connection directly into a standard 240V plug in a house or garage with a 3 pin plug. There is the possibility of overheating and fire at the plug if demand for power is high from the camper, such as the use of toasters, kettles etc. all at the same time. If a fire occurs as a result of plugging directly into a house, you will be liable for any damage. Campgrounds use a 3 phase source of power supply, your vehicle is equipped with this and you can plug directly in to mains power at any campsite.

How long will my house [auxiliary] battery last?

It all depends on a number of things for example, use of lights, entertainment systems and the number of times the fridge is opened. Some of our vehicles have solar panel backup, which helps restore the living area battery when parked, but can’t keep up if everything is operating. A general rule of thumb is that if you drive a few hours every day, the alternator will help give the battery a top up charge. If you flatten the battery completely in the living area it will not affect the driving battery, however you will need to plug the vehicle into 240V mains power for the battery to fully recharge. We recommend you stay in Holiday Parks to charge the battery at a minimum every second night.

What works when my campervan is not connected to a 240V power supply?

When the domestic (living area) battery has a healthy charge [11-14v] the following equipment will operate:

> fridge

> lights

> water pump

> entertainment

along with ignition for the water heater and diesel heater.

The following require a 240v power connection to operate:

> electric jug

> microwave

> 240v electric sockets

What is the storage capacity in my campervan?

All vehicles have storage compartments, however we suggest that you travel with soft foldable cases as there is no room to store large hard cases.

Do I need to bring a plug adaptor?

The vehicles are equipped with AU/NZ electrical sockets, so if you are coming from overseas you will need an adaptor.

Plug adaptors may be purchased at the airport terminus or from our branch.

Will my campervan have a television?

Television is not included in your package. However there is a LCD screen with built-in DVD player in some campervans.

Can I recharge my laptop in the vehicle?

Yes, however you will need to be connected to a 240V power supply and simply use a power socket in the vehicle.

Can my campervan carry a bike rack ?

Yes, and these need to be booked in advance for your New Zealand Britz campervan rental.

Please refer to our additional hire items .

We do not have bike rack facilities in Australia.

How do I empty the toilet?

Please have a look at our Campervan 'how to' video clip for Operating the Toilet.

The toilet in your vehicle has a cartridge underneath that catches the waste. The cartridge requires a toilet chemical to break down the waste and keep it odour free. These toilet chemicals can be purchased for $2.50 each from our branch.

We recommend you empty the toilet cartridge every 1 - 2 days (at an authorised dump point) and place a new chemical inside after emptying.  The toilet cartridge is located in a lockable compartment outside the vehicle, adjacent to the bathroom.  Under the toilet cartridge are wells that collect any overflow of waste.

These wells are dry and clean when you collect your vehicle from our branch. They need to also be returned this way.

There are several steps you can take to avoid any overflow of waste into these wells.

Always make sure the toilet shutter is fully open when you use your toilet.  If it is not open the waste will seep around the cartridge instead of going into your cartridge.  The waste will then end up in the wells underneath.

Always ensure the toilet shutter is fully closed when not in use.  Just the motion of driving can cause waste to spill over the top outlet.  This spillage will end up in the wells below.

After emptying the toilet cartridge, ensure the cartridge is pushed in all the way, and then adjusted back so it sits flush behind the plastic lip. If the cartridge does not line up properly with the toilet shutter, waste will end up seeping around the cartridge and underneath into the wells.

Empty the toilet every 1 – 2 days and before driving. A full cartridge will overflow through the top seals and seep around the cartridge and into the wells underneath.

When you empty the toilet, check the wells underneath for any overflow. Wash and dry wells if there is any waste in them.

If the wells under the toilet cartridge are full, you will get overflow of waste coming into the bathroom floor area. This can be quite unpleasant for the hirer and our branch staff on return of the vehicle.

If you do not maintain the toilet during your hire and either the wells or cartridge are returned full, you will be asked to clean them or charged a $125 toilet cleaning fee.

Wi-fi:-

Can I use Wi-Fi anywhere in Australia?

The Wi-Fi can be used in 3G mobile phone coverage areas.

There may be areas where reception is limited however.

What are the costs if I require additional data in Australia?

In Australia, the prices for data is as follows:

AU$35 for 1GB

AU$65 for 5GB

How many devices can I connect to my mobile Wi-Fi Unit?

The Wi-Fi can connect up to 2 mobile devices at any one time. Connecting the maximum number of devices to your mobile Wi-Fi may cause it to respond more slowly or freeze. It is recommended that when activity is completed, the device is disconnected.

Can I get internet access in campgrounds?

Yes, most campgrounds have computers for you to use or Wi-Fi.

Make enquiries with the campground reception staff for specific information.

Do I have unlimited Wi-Fi for my hire in Australia?

You can purchase 1GB or 5GB of data. When you have used 85% of your allowance you will be notified via text message on the mobile phone number saved against your rental, by email, and on-screen via our in vehicle tablet. Please note when you go over your data limit you will be charged for a WIFI 1GB Top Up automatically. This charge will be added to your rental for settlement when you drop off your camper. Our current plan is for 1GB of data per rental. You can top up with more data as you require it.
